How to: Autocorrect spelling while typing data.
Solution:
Enable AutoCorrect, and then type the abbreviation or incorrect spelling in the datasheet or form.
NOTE: AutoCorrect can be used to automatically correct frequently mistyped text or replace frequently used abbreviations with the full word.
1) Enable AutoCorrect:
a) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'AutoCorrect...'. (The AutoCorrect dialog box appears.)
b) (Optional) Select the 'Correct TWo INitial CApitals' check box to have Access automatically correct two initial capitals in a word.
c) (Optional) Select the 'Capitalize Names of Days' check box to have Access capitalize the names of days.
d) (Optional) Select the 'Replace Text as You Type' check box to have Access replace text on the AutoCorrect entry list as the user types.
NOTE: To add entries to the list, type text or other data in the 'Replace' and 'With' boxes, and click 'Add'.
e) Click 'OK'.
2) Type as normal. (Access automatically corrects the items checked in steps 1)a) through 1)d).)
